Mama Julie's Retail Shop

Mama Julie runs a retail shop downtown in Nakivubo. She didn't have a big budget, but she wanted something nice — something that would pull in more customers, including higher-standard clients who would normally walk past a typical neighbourhood shop and head for a supermarket.

The brief was simple: make it feel like a supermarket while keeping it a retail shop. We worked with what she had, focused on organisation, cleanliness and clear product presentation — shelves arranged so stock is easy to scan, the fridge and dry goods kept visibly tidy, and the shop reading as one composed, well-kept space the moment you step inside.
